The person in these videos-like 4 of them on his YouTube site-shows what he does to a WP DD washer-first-will it spin?lets see golf clubs, sledgehammers, house gutters, lawn mowers, and microwave ovens. No clothes. Then he delights in watching the motor in the washer burn up.That washer looked kinda nice-one of the controls was missing-it did still work.Too bad no Applianceville folks around to save it.First this fellow smashed vacuum cleaners-now washers and lawn mowers.

I would have saved the direct drive Whirlpool and gave him some HE front loader to play with. That would get him a better audience!

That man says he destroys the appliances for "salvage"Wouldn't it be better to fix them up and resell them? The Kirby and other vacuum destruction videos were distrurbing. What happened to the bags, floor nozzles for some of the Kirbys? He "torments" the powerplant.Yes-I take care of my appliances-esp these days when vintage ones are getting harder and harder to find. The fellows videos are strange-hope I didn't offend anyone by showing it-but at the same time thought Applianceville folks should be aware of it-There are some people that just don't appreciate appliances!Yes it was a "Shredpool" washer-but they are liked by many Applianceville members-and for TL washer fans may be the only ones available in the future.
I suppose in his "will it Spin" tests a FL machine would be good for that-since they spin at higher speeds. But again too many Applianceville members like FL machines too.I just wouldn't want to be around his FL spinner when he throws his sledgehammer into it!!Imagine what would happen if this man encountered a Bock laundry spinner!!

what a waster, there are struggling families that would of loved to have those items, and paid him, what they could afford to. 1$ should be sufficient, he does not think much of them.

I find it a little odd that the guy says he's a born again Christian. I would think that a better display of his faith would be to make the best attempt at restoring the stuff he finds before destroying it. I think it is mentioned some place in the Bible that Christians are to be good stewards of what God provides. As for me, I do the best I can to live by that example. I may not think much of a Whirlpool Calypso, but I will still do what I can to save it before giving up!

I think the "YouTuber" broadcaster does have something loose up there---If he abuses appliances-hope he doesn't graduate to animals or people. In his site description he says he loves to smash vintage collectable items-working or not-also in two of his videos he abuses and smashes a really nice AirWay upright vacuum-most of us appliance lovers and vacuum collectors would love to have that.He also says he likes to destroy things to anger people.Guess he likes the reactions. That is rather sick.
but oh yes-that DD washer held up to his torture for quite some time.also note he did not connect it to a water supply.Surprized the coupler did not break. However the plastic outer drum broke early in his "tests".The outer plastic drum on one that I had broke from an out of balance load-and wouldn't you know it-the machine went OOB when I was not near it to shut it off.Instead returned to a wet floor after the washer was done. The machine was only a week old at the time.Sears repaired it at no charge under warrantee. If I had to pay would have been about $300.I did trade the machine to a favorite swap shop for a BD WP Imperial 90.The BD is a much better machine.Wonder how long a BD one would have lasted under his "tests"?And did you notice in one of his tests when the tub stopped spinning he says-"Guess the belt is slipping!"

I wonder would what would happen if he were to smash up a Wave Touch in front of CleanteamofNY and thomasortega??? I can just about imagine how he would look after they got done with him!

Wow!!! this thread has been up a while, but his is the first time that I have seen the video. It is just my opinion, but that dude has some very serious problems. Yes, it is a Whirlpool DD that he killed!! I actually like all of the varieties of washing machines(some brands/types a lot better than others), but there is no excuse for what he did to it!! I can understand if the machine was dead and not repairable. If the guy indeed does do this to machines for salvage, what is he salvaging! Just metal!?! Surely the parts are ruined. Finally I just have to say this:

I noticed that he was destroying the machine being close to it and not wearing any safety gear. One of these days a machine that he decides to take on and ruin and destroy is GOING TO BITE HIM BACK VERY SEVERELY. My projects and the components that I use may be overkill and a bit over the edge, but I assure you that I WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO A MACHINE!!! No matter how pissed I may get at it.

Offended!?! No I'm not offended by the video. People will do what they want, and if that means that a moron like the guy in the video destroys this for no reason and possibly puts other people in danger besides himself, so be it. IT IS WHAT IT IS!
At least the members on this site appreciate their machines and do what they can to keep them running and keep them from being erased for future generations. As far as I'm concerned, the guy can do what he wants with the machines, I have one or 2 models that resemble that machine(1998 Whirlpool CleanTouch). As long as he stays away from me AND MY MACHINES,I don't care what he does! But still him destroying a working repairable machine is heart breaking.

One day, one of the things he's smashing up will get revenge and hurt him badly. I'm not wishing that on someone, but what comes around goes around.
