I made this last year and it was a huge hit, I think it was an Ocean Spray cranberry recipe. So easy, yet so delicious! Great by itself, on hot Turkey, or even on a Turkey sandwich. Also good as leftovers mixed with a little Cool Whip as a dessert-ish. Lasts quite a while in the refrigerator.
CRANBERRY ORANGE RELISH-
1 16oz bag fresh cranberries
1 whole seedless orange
3/4 to 1 cup of sugar

Process cranberries in food processor, then chunk up the orange and process it as well, peel and all (I did seperately). Stir in sugar to taste, and refrigerate at least overnight (I made mine tonight for Thursday and Friday, 2 seperate batches)

My Dad I and I were often tasked to do the Cranberry relish as per my Stepmom. We simply ran the oranges-peels and all along with the cranberrys thru the hand turned meat grinder. Then mixed in the sugar afterward in the large mixing bowel. We ate a lot of it as we made it!!!Both my Dad and I loved it.The meat grinder makes the perfect texture. You can use a powered meatgrinder-off the mixer or one with its own motor.

I make that cranberry orange relish - have been for odds are 30 years - and the traditional cooked cranberries.  In the cran/orange recipe I’ve gone to only 2/3 c of sugar from the full cup I used early on.  always good and refreshing, and will last for weeks in the fridge if there is any left over.
