Combined it with MML going on in Saugatuck (see DL for more info on that). Had a great time visiting Mike and his beautiful home and amazing collection in Grand Rapids. Of course I brought laundry and used the Coppertone Kenmore pair and the Maytag stack unit. Thanks again for the great visit!

Very nce collection Mike.  Jerry glad you got to go and share with us.  I keep forgetting our Kenmore 800 was the 2nd version of this basic style--Mike's being the 1st with Vari=Flex agitator and just Prewash.  Ours with Super Rotoswirl, Enzyme Soak and Soak Only/Soak & Wash rocker switch option.  The last version having the modified tempt/water level knobs.

Very nice collection, some of my favorites there.Like the maytags alot.Outstanding coppertone Kenmore 800 saw many years ago.Similar to my 1970 lady Kenmore which is coppertone.I would straighten the lid hinge and raise the water level those machines always had a stingy water level never knew why but it caused a lot of performance problems.

Nice collection Mike

Yes I like the mix of new were an older machines, too bad there aren't more Maytag however, LOL

There are so many cool vintage washers out there, I'm laying out my ultimate home laundry room and will try to work on it this coming year when I stop traveling so much.

One thing for sure with all the cool machines out there I'm not going to have more than one of any particular machine.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Jerry! And Mike ...

...nice collection! It's been a while since we've corresponded, so it was nice to see that you're keeping well in GRR! BTW - love the miniatures on the shelf above the model 32 Maytag wringer!

WOWZERS!!

Those are some great pictures!
Thank you for sharing so we could see everything.
Very cool!
:o)

And yes, need a better pic of the 806 buttons. I couldn't make out what they said?

Hello Everybody!

It has been much fun to finally get to meet people from this site. The weekend was marvelous. Jerry and I had much to talk about on our 40 min. trip from Douglas/Saugatuck to Grand Rapids. We're both Pennsylvania boys! And What fun to have a companion to do laundry with!!! (Next time Yogitunes it will be a 3-some I promise). My collection is "Maytag-heavy" but I cherish my KitchenAid set (Thanks Martin for sending me the correct agitator). The coppertone Kenmore pair are gems. I love all my machines!. And I feel at home with my friends at automaticwasher.org.

(I added a pic of my Hardwick-built Maytag gas range and a close-up of the A806S buttons. One of the sets of buttons is not original. I know the Maytag experts will know which one).

So just to confirm...

About the 806s buttons:
This the 1st version of the 806 model, right?

And with the cycle buttons, if you want to mix the speed of the wash & spin, can you push the REGULAR ACTION to get a fast spin after doing a GENTLE ACTION wash & rinse? The speeds seem to be like a 606/608 & a 206/208.
