No one commented after I posted the Butter Drop cookies in my "Kitchenware-the family connection" thread last week.

I am really beginning to wonder if any of you (with one exception) ever pays any attention, or makes any of the dishes I post?

Yes, I do admit-I am in a bad mood, and it will pass, but right now........

Is it because I don't really know how to use the digicam I have, and don't know how to post pretty pictures?

Some of the best cookbooks I have, and have ever used don't have a single picture.

I do!  I thoroughly enjoy your posts about recipes and dishes - I don't always have time to comment on them, alas, but I always enjoy reading them.

Please keep them coming!!

Of course I saw them and saved the recipe for later use, I always enjoy the recipes posted and try as many as my waistline will allow. I was thinking about them the other night when I got some cravings but it was late and talked myself into going to bed rather then baking. They are on my to-do list....

I have been saving numerous recipes from this site. I haven't done much cooking lately but I keep a copy of them for the time when I will cook more.

Same here, I really enjoy all the recipes that have  been shared here and have made copies of so many.  Sometimes just get carried away and think when I try something I will make a reply but that doesn't always happen.  Can you imagine the fun we could have if we had a cooking convention!!

I decided to make a half batch of the cookies, yum, very good and very easy! I've never done cookies in the food processor before. I might try making some chocolate chip cookie that way. I always tend to over beat them and they come out a little off.

Quiet Time

Lawrence, I am recalcitrant in not letting you know how much I enjoy your discourse with food, authors and culinary history you bring with all your posts.  I enjoy having people give comments of what is posted and I apologize for being lazy in not sending a reply.  I must say, I enjoy the mixer because it takes longer and requires more involvement with the operator.  I worked with some RD on processors and know what a flawless job they do.  I made frosting in the processor for the first time using an ATK recipes for Fudge icing.  Please know I been selfish and will do better.  You my friend, are worthy and deserving.  Anything that begins with 42 percent butter fat is going to end great.

I agree that Lawrence is a great culinary resource here.

With my bumper crop of lemons on the tree, I made my first attempt at lemon meringue pie week before last. The meringue deflated over night and when I asked Lawrence about it, he confirmed what I had done wrong, which was to start beating the egg whites on high speed instead of low.

With that advice, I'm ready to try again. Lemon meringue is among my favorite pies, and it's never too late to learn how to get it right.

Thanks Lawrence!

Didn't see it or my two-cents would have been inserted. (Grin).

I am having fun with "Supercook" - online which is a reverse cookbook of sorts.
Stick your ingredients in there and it gives you ideas!

Oh Lawrence, so many of us want to taste your yummies!
