Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Brett, one time I was on the loading dock at the Four Seasons, minding my own business (I was waiting for a deliver of some equipment) when this horrid woman with a very expensive foreign car pulled up. She was delivering something for another event, but I helped her out.

She then handed me the keys to the car and said "I'm in a hurry. PARK THIS!"

There was no way I was going to take responsibility for her car (valet hikers have insurance coverage in case of accidents, I didn't) so I offered to call a valet hiker for her.

No, she didn't want to wait. She was in a hurry. I needed to park her car.

I again said no. I won't do it. But I'd get someone from Valet.

She then looked at my nametag and said, "Well, DAN LANGDON, I think Mr. Martin (the General Manager of the hotel at that time) will be very interested in hearing about how uncooperative you are"

I took her over to the housephone and said. "His extension is 3205. Would you like me to dial it for you?"

She called him. He told her I was right, and that she needed to cool her jets until someone from Valet came over. Not only that, but we wouldn't let her cut through the back of house area to get to her gig. The valet guy dropped her off at the front door.

IF she had been halfway nice, I would have taken her keys and waited for the hiker to show up, but there was no way I was going to do that with her. Sometimes, it just pays to be nice.

The GAS PIPE

Once I was at work and needed a refresher cup of coffee. So I went to the front office and reheated my coffee. As I returned back near the front lobby I'm standing there with my cup of coffee seeing employees leaving the front door in a bit of a hurry. I stand there for a few moments sipping my coffee and watch more and more employees run out the front door. What is amusing me is I am just standing there with my cup of coffee watching all my coworkers go past in a breeze and NOBODY is saying a word to me. Finally I nab one guy and ask "Why is everyone running out the door?" I find out that a forklift just ran into the building's gas pipe behind the office shearing it off. THANKS for telling me!
