Secretarial phone pics.
Michaelman....I'm not sure how interested you are in all this, but, this is the phone and bell in my condo that work with the old pbx down at the front desk. I'm not sure about wiggin out the desk people by taking a camera down there but if I cant find a picture of it elsewhere, I may. The phone, with the knob facing str8 up and down, like it is in the picture, operates like a normal phone. With the knob turned to the right, the phone is set to "secretarial"- your private phone line rings simultaneously, at the switchboard, for answering service messages to be taken, and in your apartment, as well. Also, with the knob turned this way, picking up the handset connects you directly to the desk clerk at the switchboard, no dialing req'd. The second picture, is the extra loud bell that rings, when an in house call comes through the switchboard, whether it be the front desk announcing a guest, or connecting a call to you from another location within the building.
