Bill, hopefully DADoES will chime in here, but the early DD washers were spin drain. There were problems and the machines were retrofitted (he's discussed this before). My 1986 Lady Shredmor3e was neutral drain. I think by 1984 or 1985, the small production of DD Kenmore models were all neutral drain. Now mine did develop the tendency to spin drain until the transmission got warmed up around its 10th or 12th year. Mine too had the single spray rinse on the post-rinse spin, except on PP which had a spin spray for both spins. Friends of mine in Dallas got a Model 70 DD set in 1989 or 1990 and it had two sprays on each spin that the cycle design called for a spin spray.
