I've sent an inquiry, but it is probably way too expensive - anytime they say "serious inquiries only" I cringe. I'll post contact info when I obtain it - can only mail them through the website. No pic of the fridge or the radio/shelf combo. Too bad my kitchen is already remodeled, but if I can afford this, I might just have to make a second kitchen in the garage. I can even paint my 1940 Ruud water heater to match.

"Purchased "NEW" in the 50's & never even connected. Only stored inside for the last 50+years & in next to perfect condition. Washer/Dryer, Stove-Oven, Top Loading Dishwasher and a Sink, all connected with a single piece stainless steel countertop. Included are 2 Metal wall mounted Shelves with built in GE Radio. I also have the matching Wall Mounted 3-Door Fridge available separately. More pictures available & any requested detailed shots can be taken. Serious inquiries only!"

Here's the fridge. He wants $2500 for everything in the first pic I posted, and $1200 for the fridge. I offered to post his contact info here, but I'm waiting for his permission before I do.

~Is this the same unit that was offered a while back, that Austin and several other people investigated?

I don't know.

Is that a combination washer/dryer? I don't know much about washers from this time period.

I have a whole bunch more pictures from the seller. I'm surprised to hear the pieces haven't sold. I recall at least a couple people out-of-state checked into it who are particularly interested in GE kitchens. Probably shipping is prohibitive. Due to the size it's not something obtained on a whim without a prepared location to install or store the units.

David and Others (and yes Glenn, it is that one)

Some of you may recall that about 2 years ago a similar set up was offered here in Ca. in the SF Bay Area. First it was on a fancy "$5000.00 Restored Wedgewood Site" located in Alabama or Georgia , iirc. It languished there for some time for an asking price of about $1325.00 or so. It was Canary Yellow, just the base set up , no freezer or wall cabs with radio.
It had been used , allegedly sparingly during its installation. It eventually ended up on Ebay where I bid on it; deciding in advance that I wouldn't go over $500. I reached the reserve of $325 and that was it. I have been
meaning to "tramatize my carport" for our amusement ever since. I am sharing this experience so that a realistic
approach may be more readily achieved. I would certainly
go look at it, especially since it's only 45 miles away.
As a matter of fact , I would love nothing more than to ride with you in the Five 8 Limited 2 door, and see what the
"set up" never installed looks like. But I also don't think
just because we have an interest in such things and especically the desire to preserve and use them occasionally,
that we should subject ourselves to peoples greediness.
What they really want is you to pay them excessively for some
thing that they want to be rid of. Hells Bells just amonth ago
another person offered a Pink GE wall fridge in Oakland
for the price of the inconvenience of coming and getting it
and getting it the hell out of their way. I don't mean to sound like some shrill old queen , but maybe some of these folks need to spend a day or two wandering through the Louvre
or the National Portrait Gallery in London , or any other
"World Class" museum.
