Almond would be the correct color description. The dryer was built the 8th week of 1979 and the washer in 1985 or 1986.

This Whirlpool will actually wash and rinse things, the direct drives can’t really hold a candle to these in terms of washing and rinsing performance.

I currently own both belt and DD and found that the washing and rinsing with the DD is just They're even better if it's a Kenmore with a an "Ultra rinse" system.
