Wringer Washer Transport

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

you should not have an issue on its side for a while....I believe you should keep the wringer post on the top side....

never hurts to remove the wringer for transport, for one thing, will take a lot of weight off the unit while trying to move it...

good luck Todd, and keep us posted

Hi Todd,

You can lay it down face down on the Maytag logo and it shouldn't leak oil. Any other position, (side or back) and it will mark its territory. If it's an N2L, you'll need to support it so it doesn't roll around.

Remove the wringer head before transporting. Lift it straight up and it should come off. If the wringer head has been on there for a few decades and the shaft has never been oiled sometimes you have to spin the head around while pulling up and inch it off that way.
