I went to my sears store again today to talk to my friend there and he just told me on December 13th is the unvailing of the HE5T!!!!!!! It will be in stores on that date. The actual release, press date is December 26th. New color available--burlow-----basicly a off cherry red to compete with LG. No pic available but spec sheet has it listed as a ATC6. Appnut you will love this---ATC6 only allows 110 degree hot water and it has "audio/visual" controls.

Wow why are washtemperatures dropping?
I thougth HOT was tap hot +/- 140°F (60°c), warm was 105°F (40°c) and cold was tap cold or controlled cold 70°F (25°c).
Or am I completly wrong?

That is what the temperatures should be however here in the U S the washer F=Mfg. are trying to tell us different. And MAKE us use what they think is the best temperature. They are doing it in the name of enegery savings because they dont't know how to make a good well built machine that is frugal like your overseas machines are. NO U S Mfgs. so far really even come close.

We got some literature in today on the new HE5t. That picutre is not it. It looks almost like the 4t but it has a larger chrome window, a center dial with a screen to the right, and larger round buttons. It will use according to the lit. 71% less water and 74% less engergy then the 69-67% of the 4t's usage. There are a few more colors, and it will cost $1499 for white (more for the designer colors of course) No specs as to spin speeds, drum size etc, until the 12th. I will keep everyone informed with pictures (phone camera) and specs!

The spec sheet my friend from sears had states that is has a 1300rpm spin speed. It also stated the same new water and energy effiency that BobbyD32L stated. Which makes me wonder, did they cut a rinse or is it just going to use that much less water per water change. When I bought my HE3 3 yrs ago, I had I known it was only going to do a default of 2 rinses, I would have never bought it. Don't get me wrong, I do like it but a default of 3 rinses with the optional/extra 4th rinse would have been even better.

Washing is not dry cleaning!!! Plz even frontloaders need water and it's not at all energy-effecient when they drop the temperature. It lengtes the cyle time!
