Yes they were!
But to be fair I'd be just as lost in their world as they were in mine.
In NYC highways are known by NAME, not number. And many streets are numbered and some are named.
So when one goes to MAPQUEST to get directions and it's in route numbers we scream! Where the hell is route 678?, ah the BQE. Route 495? ah the LIE. 95 WHT? ah the Cross Bronx.
And exit numbers. NO NO NO the streets are numbered so exit numbers just makes it all the more confusing.Like I said, it's all what you get used to and come to accept as normal.
But I have to laugh in this city of immigrants (where English is apparently optional and not to be taken seriously or as necessary), that car travel routes are named. TE HE HE HE lets make it difficult for them go get around!
