Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

only thing, i am pissed about, i just bought the house too, and the previous owners stripped the hell out of the hose on the washer water valve in the wall, and when they moved they cut the hose off, now i cannot for the life of me get the damn piece off so i can hook up the hot water on my new washer. it turns a little bit but does not seem like it is getting loose, the idiots tightened it so much they stripped it.

can't you just put on a new valve, turn off the water, remove the old one, a little pipe dope or tape, and install a new one in minutes.....depending how old I would install hot and cold new.....some get so scaled up its hard to turn on/off, and then theres the ocassional drip/leak.....

post a pic if you need some help.....

I hope that i will see some pictures of your first load maiden wash in your new machines and just 1 small question what is the model number of your washer and dryer because if i can not afford the canadien version of the speed queen washer and dryer when my duet set breaks i might buy for me and my mother the same model?

Good link

Thanks for showing that to us, magic_clean. It was very informative. Dan: From what I remember of these machines, they have a cork-screw agitator similar to some of the last Maytags.

Hey! "TopLoader"

Which Model's are your new Frigidire Washer & Dryer? Are they "TOL" Models and is the Dryer Electric or Gas Heating?

They are I think pretty nice looking with the Gray Accented Color on the Control Panels and the rounded sloped shape of the Control Panel, enjoy them.

Peace and Kind Regards, Steve

FTW3011KW the washer and dryer is FRG5711KW, lots of options, i am sort of dissappointed, the washer does not even fill with the lid open, i remember older frigidaires would fill and agitate with the lid open but wouldnt spin, oh well, guess ill think of something.

Toploader-----buy a classic pink pencil eraser, take the front panel off the washer, and stick the eraser on the little lever that has to be pressed down in order for the washer to operate. I did this with my '86 Frigidaire top-loader and again with my '06. The eraser has never popped out of place.

Oh, and one more thing (again): Don't be dismayed when you see the upper portion of the dual-action agitator going in reverse along with the longer, counter-clockwise stroke. I was really ticked off about it, but then noticed that because of the angle of the corkscrew blades, it didn't lift the clothes back up when it reversed. It definitely helps pull them down during the short, clockwise stroke. When it reverses, the clothes just slide off it, but they don't get pulled back up.

It would have been nice if it was engineered to corkscrew downward during the long, counter-clockwise stroke. That would give you more dual-action bang for the buck.

Have you been able to solve the water faucet issue and get them hooked up?

it's alluring

because it has selectable fast and slow agitate/spin combinations, which I miss from my old Performa.

However at the time I needed to purchase, there was very little information about these units, and last time I checked, the pics and info on the Fdare website were still not very complete.
