Yellow 06's are RARE!! A yellow 06 HOH that's gas makes for a really rare combo. *Sigh* too far as usual.........

OMG

Can you say WANT??? These are close too.... will my mother notice another set in the basement?

once there is enough of something people won't notice there are more there,I have noticed this with all of the vacuums i have they keep multiplying and just rotate through them so everyone forgets if it is something new or not. So unless Mother is keeping count she probably won't notice Jed.

will my mother notice another set in the basement?

If she asks, give her a WTF facial expression and say "HUH? They've been here for a while now."

I have never seen an actual pair of Maytags in Castillian ye

very awesome......Good luck Jed I hope you get them....PAT COFFEY
FYI Maytag replaced Castillian Yellow with California Gold (aka Harvest gold).

Wow - yellow! Very rare, only available in the first models of the '06 line (906,806,606,406 - 206,106 in white only) and then turquoise and yellow were gone by '68-69 when the avocado and gold colors came out. (I find no mention of "Castillian" yellow anywhere in Maytag doctrine though??)

Don has a turquoise set of 806's - just beautiful and so strange to see them on a set that "new" as most mfrs. had dropped the pastels around this time.

Checked into it- sounds like they're already gone. Who&#

I would like to know too.........I'm glad I came across these....they are beautiful......Hopefully one of the club members got them!

Well obvioulsy then you never saw this Gansky

it is a page from a Maytag brochure Rickr posted here a couple years back.....and it proves that Castillian yellow out lived turqouise....GE did not introduce harvest until 1967 and they were the first to have it..just like they were the first to introduce avacodo in 1966 and as I said before Castillian Yellow was repalces with California Gold ...Maytags version of Harvest Gold....PAT COFFEY

I agree with you Gansky

I hope we do see them again...maybe even in a video.....also does anyone notice a spanish theme running through the names Maytag called the three colors they offered at the time?....PAT COFFEY

It would be great if that whole brochure could be posted back again here. Please! Please. I would love it!!!

What a wonderful set-I remembered that name Castillian Yellow from somewhere-maybe I'd seen it on another brochure or at the Maytag factory in Iowa. I always thought the yellows that were offered were so much fresher and nicer than the later harvest gold. I'm actually much fonder of coppertone and avocado retroactively than I am of harvest gold.

I remember Spanish Avocado for Maytag, but I'm pretty sure by the 70s "Cordoba Copper" and "California Gold" were called something else.
