Yes Laundry Detergent

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I don't think it was made by P&G but I remember it being a liquid detergent back in the 70s that competed against Era which was made by P&G and might have been lower priced. It also competed against Dynamo. It was a high sudser, so used only one quarter cup in a top load Kenmore. Not sure how well it cleaned. I believe eventually it was replaced by liquid Tide

I'm pretty sure original Yes was made by Texize and was a detergent/softener-in-one type product.

Like many liquids of the era, you could get a Yes pump for your bottle, which was guaranteed to made the top of your washer a gloppy mess. :)

Yes Detergent

Yes was made by Texize originally and competed with Bold 3 and Solo, which were both Proctor and Gamble brands. It was sold off to Dow Brands and then to Rickett Benkiser. When it first came out it smelled like bubble gum and required only 1/4 cup. They later changed it to 1/2 half cup for best results. All in all it was not very good at cleaning or softening and terrible at static control. Consumer reports always kept it at the bottom of the ratings. That was when they really rated things thoroughly.
