Anyone who finds a solution
would you please let me know? My 86-y.o. parents are on their way to clutter nirvana. This is exceptionally upsetting because my OL was a housekeeper who would have put Joan Crawford to shame. You literally cannot find a 90-degree angle anywhere in their home because every corner is stuffed with magazines, old phone books, bags full of old greeting cards, bags full of BAGS, boxes of stuff, folded clothes, et. al. The kitchen table is awash with pill bottles, insurance forms, junk mail, Christmas cards from 2008, and general correspondence. Any attempt to offer to cart anything away gets the standard annoyed response: "I can use that". I know they were children of the great depression, but it is still disturbing to see this transition from clean-to-mean.
Rant over.
