Has anyone had problems watching videos on there? I tried viewing a few things last night and can get audio, but no video.

It's 9:58 pacific time over here and it's still doing it. The video's not doing anything but sound comes through. Stupid Youtube. I was in the mood to watch some washer videos too!

No problems here but it now says I MUST create an Google account to sign-up!

Thanks for the reply! It's still doing the same thing at this time (Friday morning 11 AM). I thought it was something with my computer. For the hell of it, I'm going to a library branch that's located along the way where I have an appointment later and see if this is also happening on their computers.

They made set up a google account also. If I ever have to sign in again, I might be up sh*t creek.
It looks like it's an Internet Explorer problem. Opera and Google Chrome are showing the movies without a problem.

With my computer at home, I MIGHT be able to view one video, but in wanting to view a second video, the "fun" began.
I'm at one of the libraries sending this out. NO PROBLEMS whatsoever at this one or the other one I was at earlier. I was able to view videos in my "Favorites" folder and some by going to different categories and selecting them. I used both Firefox and Internet Explorer, and neither one gave me any trouble.
I'm on my way home and will give an update when I get on the computer and try bringing YouTube up again.

No problem Bill. The weird thing is, I wasn't able to watch yt on my computer, however when I accessed it on my TV through my Blu Ray player, it worked fine. Lord knows whats going on with it.

I'm at home now...and I believe that sums it up!
Also, why are members and new comers required to have a Google account? That's completely asinine. I know of 3 people who have stopped watching YouTube because of this policy. They don't want to sign up for another account, and I don't blame them. I THINK IT'S TIME TO REBEL!
I'm going to try one last thing...unplug my DSL modem and have it reset, reboot the computer and try again.
I'm at home now...and I believe that sums it up!

I didn't want the Google account either, but I couldn't get into my site and make comments or answer messages. Seriously, not a slam, but YouTube is run by people who make their own hours, likely are stoned or loaded two thirds of the time, and quick to dump videos and accounts for their favorite offense of Copyright Infringements! Oooooooooo..........

The Opera browser is "working", but not I.Explorer or Firefox? How odd. In thinking out loud, I CAN understand why Google Chrome would be functioning. I wonder if this could be a scheme or manipulative setup in getting more people to download Google Chrome? HMMMMM....
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the next ORDER they send out would be

I was using Firefox 3.6.14 to view with no problems at all.
I would go ahead and download the flash player from www.adobe.com to see if that fixes the problem.

Whirlcool, I tried doing that with Flashplayer and Java...TWICE! One video worked fine, but when I clicked on another to view, the same problem occurred.
Actually, what I'm seriously considering is a complete reformat on my hard drive (I've been planning this anyway), reinstalling programs and seeing if that doesn't fix the problem.

No trouble with viewing YouTube here, as long as I'm signed-out. Otherwise I'm stuck with that Google Account bullcrap. What exactly is a Google Account? GMail?? I have no use for GMail, I already have multiple e-mail accounts through my ISP and two work domains.
I have a Google account, but it doesn't make any difference. Signed in or signed out, IE doesn't show the picture. Signed in or signed out, Opera does.
