Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

I have all relevant/latest updates for Firefox & IE8 & WinXP, and am not having any trouble viewing YouTube with either one.

I've been using a (free) utility, Secunia PSI, to check what software subsystems (Java, Flash, etc.) may need updates.

Regards to Java, older versions are not automatically uninstalled when updates are done, but the recommendation is that they *should* be manually uninstalled.  Look through your Add/Remove Programs and uninstall old versions (can't say if that'll help your problem, but it's good housekeeping).

ALLELUIA!! A FIX!

WE'RE BACK IN BUSINESS! Here's what I did.

Go to "My Channels" under your screen name and click on it (or ANY channel for that matter). On the video in the middle of the screen, do a right click, scroll to "settings" and click. If there's a check mark in the box "enable hardware acceleration", click to REMOVE it. You should be back up and running. The person who deserves the credit on this...krazydrama, and his video "YouTube Videos Won't Play After Flash 10 Upgrade".

Now I can stay up for a bit, watch a Golden Girls episode and a few GM Frigidaire washer videos.

Vern, I hope this works for you!

Bill!!!!!

Remind me to give you a big sloppy wet kiss whenever I get to meet you LOL. That totally worked and I thank you VERY much! It was tripping me out! I wasn't able to watch them on the site, but if I went to a video that was posted here on AW.org I was able to watch pretty much anything. But it's working now. Stupid youtube and it's settings changes without notification. Bill YOU ROCK!!!

As I said earlier, the person who made the video responsible for this fix is named krazydrama on YouTube. I was just the messenger. I'm glad yours is back up and running also. :)

Yay it worked for my problem also!  Youtube was working fine on my laptop with windows 7 but on my desktop with Vista, I could not get the controls at the bottom of the video to display (the videos would play OK as long as I clicked the right area on the screen).  Also when I enlarged the videos all I got was a white screen.  That is fixed now also.  Thank you for the tip.

LOL

I was just playin with ya Bill. And although you say you were just the messenger, you at least sent that message instead of keeping it to yourself. That deserves some praise.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

I was having the same problem after I upgraded the Flash on my Ubuntu 10.04. This fixed it and everything is working like new! :)
