Oooh.. Give us a good homemade bread recipe.
Soft and White (Sound Familiar)
Sweet Bread
In a large bowl place warm water (105 degrees)
add
1T yeast
1/2 c sugar
stir and set aside until foamy.
Add
2 c flour
1t salt
2 eggs room temperature
1c sour cream warmed in the microwave
1/4 cup melted butter
Using paddle or beaters, beat 4 minutes on medium speed.
add
1 1/2 to 2 cups flour and mix with dough hook or knead by hand, adding flour my tablespoons full until you get a SOFT satiny dough.
Place in a warm spot and let rise until doubled, punch down and let rise again.
Mix in raisins, nuts, dried fruit or cheese if desired. Shape into loaf, 12 dinner rolls or roll into 12/20 rectangle for cinnamon rolls.
Shape as desired and let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake at 350 degrees until done (195 degrees) or golden and sounds hollow when thwacked.
Rolls 25 minutes, cinnamon rolls 30 minutes, loaf 40 minutes.
Brush with butter while still warm.
