Poking through this thread, I was quite shocked to see the detergent dosages some of the members have, yet rinses (and even washes) that are devoid of Suds! You Euro folks seem to have a nice bout of luck, or perhaps dirtier clothes and much harder water than I

(*Yes, having mechanically softened water doesn't help my situation. Still though...*)

 

But nice machines, and very nice loads, I must say. 

I might have to attach some shots of what I'm washing. Got some laundry to do tomorrow, in actual fact. Might be time to "diddle" with the Miele and get some Euro-waterlevels happening. 

Fingers crossed Minimum Iron gets some more spinning action in-between rinses too! LOVE the high-water rinses, but dislike (a lot) the singular pulse-spin between the Wash/Rinse and Rinses.

Speaking for myself I actually use less than the recommended amount of powder than it says on the box. I don't use concentrate powders or liquids so maybe it looks more than it is plus the average size washing machine now is around 7-9 kg so one would have to use more powder.

if you could just add a few more pics or even one or two videos (is that too much to ask for?).

I LOVE this machine, have loved it from the day it came out to the market.
Always wanted to have one (if I only knew whether it has an internal inverter board to feed the motor its own voltages and currents and a 12 volts (or similar) inner mains adapter to feed the electronics.) -THEN it would be easy to convert it to 230 V 50 Hz Euro juice.

Nevertheless, could you please give me some (non-transatlantic freight costs = read virtual) stainless steel whirling impeller fun, can you? ;-)

My Kenmore

I have used SA8 liquid laundry soap for the past 14 years. I never use a full cap, only up to the first line. I also do not use bounce or dryer balls. I did a very small load of darks, and am impressed with the amount of water this machine uses. Prior to this set, I had a Samsung with Diamond drum, and I do miss that feature as it seemed more gentle on my clothes. Looking to purchase a second machine, which will have diamond type of drum for sure.

Pretty impressed with the amount of water this machine uses. The clothes get a good warsh.

D Pets Load

Today it was the pets (cats and guinea pigs) wash, this consisted of 3 bath towels, two large hand towels, 4 tea towels, a sweatshirt and two polo tops, these are items that the cats sleep on or are used for the guinea pigs, the guinea pigs beds are washed by hand with liquid soap.

D on my Hoover 1100 is a 60o degree wash and it reaches this (60.9) to be exact it is an absorbant and heavy load when wet, but the hoover handles it with ease with plenty of room for "drop and flop" as Mike puts it

Your garden looks amazing. I'm on my fourth year in a new build house and my soil is rubble under the grass and it's bad enough trying to keep use grass alive let alone anything planted. Any tips?

Today's a normal 40*c wash with persil non bio powder and professional comfort lily and rice flower softener in the hotpoint.

using Bold fresh and compact powder, 60deg short cotton wash. This is the first rinse, sorry I have no idea why the pic keeps posting on it's side.
