youtube and the restrictions

cannot do advanced things

They want a drivers license

or build up the channel

sounds like a PITA

Keep getting a note that tells me to turn off "ad blocker". I don't have an ad blocker, so I'm stumped...

Pete, I haven't added a new video to my channel in three years. I haven't received any restrictions or requests to promote it or provide documentation.

Guy, maybe your browser has a built-in ad blocker?  I peruse YT every day on my computer and one or both Rokus.  I use uBlock Origin with Firefox on the computer and have received a few past notices from YT about it.  Lasts for a day or two then stops.  uBlock may adjust their code occasionally to deal with it.  I get ad intrusions on the Rokus, not aware of an ad blocker that works with them.

I am sorry you're experiencing this. You're not alone. You're yet another victim of rogue Google AI moderation that has just as many false positives as it does false negatives. 

 

My guess is the algorithm has inadvertently identified you as either a previously banned user or a potential spam account. 

 

Spammers keep coming up with new ways around algorithms, while countless legit users banned for arbitrary reasons keep making new accounts. (Youtube account bans are for life.) Google knows that so they keep upping the anti. Which only increases the number of false positives punishing ever more innocent account holders.     

 

 

The internet died a while ago.  

 

 

The more I use this site the more I see Unimatic1140 (Robert) as a God.    

 

 

Do you have a pic of the email they sent you where they ask you for a driver license (with personal information removed obviously)?

well I got full access

I had to put my full name up on youtube

I had my fursona name mixed in it

So youtube wants real full name

I always use AdBlock plus. Google fusses sometimes but I still use it. Have it on my phone also

had to go over to google itself and change it

Google controls youtube so I guess I got it fixed
