Hi everyone,
I own an excellent 1989 hand-me-down Zanussi Jetsystem ZFL1023, which I've had for over 10 years, use on a weekly basis, and have only ever had to replace the main drivebelt - it's that reliable.
Until yesterday that is - despite trying every programme on the selector, all it is able to do is pump out and/or spin. I can't get it to begin a washing cycle - it won't take on water.
Mains pressure is good, water is switched on...
The only possibly related issue I can think of is that I've been turning the mains water to the house on and off recently in order to disconnect and dismantle/weld a broken central heating boiler....
Any advice greatly appreciated, as I'd rather not have to fork out for a new machine as A. I'm broke, and B - from what I've read on this site, this machine is probably better built than many modern machines, and on that basis, I'd love to repair rather than replace...
Many thanks
Ritchie
