Hello hello!

Today I picked up this from marketplace; a Zanussi TDS382 vented autoreverse dryer. I've wanted a vented Zan for a little while now, they often popped up and I either couldnt get time to collect or they were just too far out of the way, but when this popped up it seemed like a stroke of luck!

The dryer is technically 4th hand, the original owner passed it on to her daughter who in turn sold it to her friend who I purchased it off. The previous owner moved house 6 months ago and had no room for it so it was being stored in her parents boot room/utility room at their farm. It needed mostly just cleaning and aside from some general wear and tear from age and something which seems to have been scorched onto the back of the drum, its in very good nick and just needs a vent hose (which is on order).

Specs are as follows:
Dual Temperature drying with a low temperature option button for drying cottons at cooler temperatures
Cool Tumble button, which basically switches off the heating element and allows you to refresh garments that have been stored away or need softening before ironing
5kg load capacity
3-position venting (very handy!)

I'm not too sure what year its from, my guess is about 1998-ish, but if anyone has a better guess or any brochure photos, I'd love to hear/see them.

Pics to follow, starting with a photo from the advert:

As soon as I got it in, I started vacuuming out the airways and wiping it down, I didnt take any photos though as I was too excited to finally have one of these dryers lol
This is after I cleaned it up, please ignore the state of my dining room, we're getting ready to move house in the coming months.

The drum, which looks as though someone at some point may have had an accident while drying something that was either delicate or had a printed transfer on it, and the (very odd) fluff filter ring which sits around the drum and cannot be removed

And lastly, the rating sticker.
I've given it a test run to air off some line dried laundry earlier and it is such a quiet and smooth running dryer. I'm waiting for the vent hose to come so I can properly try it, but given the AMAZING weather we've been having of late, I've been very much enjoying line drying!
Anyway,
All the best
Tom
