Yes I've seen it at walmart too and some others stores online....
It is a mexican product, like of course Zote soap bars
In Mexico and latin countries it is still usual to wash with soap flakes, in machines also....
Some brands I recall are: Lavador and Candado...
I used to grate my own soaps....
In Italy there are available soap flakes forms too, like Spuma di Sciampagna and Chante Clair....

regarding HE...
Well I've used regular soap flakes in a front loader and nothing happened.... just half door foam level...
May be a less sudsing formula than regular soap flakes, I don't personally think it may be really paragonable to any HE powder, but never tried it...
But I think it might be disappointing to some brain washed suds fearing people there are around......
