Hello, I have a Maytag Ensignia MAV6457AWW (not sure if it belongs here since it's neither less than or greater than 20 years old) that makes grinding noises during agitation, regardless of load size. It recently starting making a knocking noise as well, but I'm not sure if it's normal or not. Help appreciated!

I'd check the suspension.

Knocking Noise:

A Maytag eh?
Gotta love new appliances, they're built like Sh!t nowadays.
I'm getting 40+ years out of my old Maytag which runs like new, and quiet too.

That first sound does really have a rubbery characteristic to it.
Was first without listening thinking transmission, but that's really more of a suspension noise.

Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a repair kit for the suspension on these like for example you often find for dryers.
So it's really going to be a bit of troubleshooting to find out which part exactly is causing the noise.

Interesting sound,

It could be a number of things, probably Nunn easy to fix.

I think I would just keep using it until something goes wrong and then decide then whether it’s something fixable, there’s really only one part on these washers were replacing and that’s the water pump maybe the belt or the inlet valve other than that the machine is history When something really goes wrong with it. It’s 20 years old at least.

It's the brake squeaking every time the tub indexes, it's very apparent in the clips.

Check the brake.
