Kenmore dishwasher rant!

Hey guys, I'm gonna rant about my dishwasher at my dad's house. First of all, the pumps are puny, especially the recirculation pump. It's the one that does that start/stop/start/stop stuff with the removable filter. Now, the pump has gone out. We've had this machine since 2018. Although it took over 2 hours, it did get the dishes clean. it's a stainless steel unit model 665.13222. Second of all, the unit would barely heat the wash water when high temp was used on the smart wash cycle. This happened during the main wash. I think these stupid pumps and parts were made in China. And yes it's built by Whirlpool.
I wish my dad got the Maytag back then, similar to the point/voyager machines so that both arms operate at once, instead of the stupid alternation. And I thought the spray was weak due to how quiet it was. I have a feeling the replacement recirculation pump would be made in China as well. This is why I wish Speed Queen made dishwashers.

Well this sounds like a perfect opportunity for you to get him a new dishwasher. One that you won’t loathe so much.
Also, this machine is 7yrs old.
Sounds like your family is hard on appliances, so the motor dying now is a little soon, but within the lifetime. You can either replace it, or get something new!
Your water heating issue is also a malfunction. You probably could’ve gotten it repaired under warranty if you showed ambition when it first occurred since you say it’s been going on a while.

Is it a Whirlpool-built or manufactured by GE?

Surely the former took back Kenmore production after that subcontracting to D&M fiasco...
