For what it's worth... It came from the family of the deceased elderly couple that purchased it new in NE Connecticut. When I bought it in 2005, the son had it stowed in his attached garage with all the other posessions of his parents. I doubt it has seen much useage.

Actually, compressor based products, such as refrigerators, ACs, dehumidifiers, etc. Surge much more when they start up. For example: the first 1/2 second of a washer starting will surge 2 - 3 times the normal wattage. So a washer that uses 250 watts when operating will draw 750 watts its...

As nice as those consoles LOOK, IMO, they were not easy to maintain. The wood grain and that white/metalic strip was easily scratched and just from daily use of opening/closing the door, it would wear off. If you look at the picture above, a brand new machine supposedly, you can already see...

I can see where they would switch out Roseannes W&D. Maytag (like Kenmore, WP, & GE) was too mainstream. It would have detracted from here character. That would explain their other appliances choices, as well.

Exemplary work, as usual Louie. Most of these products are still available. The common thread from these type companies was either sugar or salt in a highly processed form. Good and fun memories abound, even for me.
