So Mike did get this machine. It arrived at his place this past weekend, and he's already got it cleaning a load! It joins a Whirlpool Portable/Convertible from 1975/6 and another Whirlpool Top Loader from 1970 (the SVP 80), which he both got from me! He's definitely a Whirlpool fan! Enjoy them...
Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a couple of new toys, so I must say goodbye to a couple of items (I know, so sad, but there is only so much room).
First on the list is a Whirlpool top loading portable. Some history: I picked this up about 15 years ago. It is model SVP100 from 1970. This model...
The model & serial number for the machine are on a small plate on the inside of the door opening, usually on the left side. Once you have the model number, go to repairclinic.com or searspartsdirect.com. Using the model number, you can search for the part # and availability. If the dishwasher...
Great video! Thanks for posting it. This is a dream machine of mine! I'm working on a Kenmore version of this now, but it will be a while before it's done.
You remove the small access panel on the lower left front. Press in on the top of the panel
And it will rotate out from the bottom. Remove it and follow the instructions John detailed.
Congratulations Robert!!
When I discovered this site, I was thrilled to find out that I was not alone in my appreciation for these amazing feats of engineering and design. I, like many others, felt validated; I was not alone! I can hardly put into words how much this site means to me. Thank...
Hi everyone! I have a set of racks from a KD23 machine that are in very good condition(only a couple of very minor wear marks). The racks can be used on any machine from 18 to 23, but for the 18-22 machines you'll need to change the rollers for the top rack.
These are free to whoever wants...

I actually bought this, and another goodie, a KitchenAid Top Loading portable(a KD14 series, but I'm not sure of the exact model number). They will be delivered on Saturday! I am super excited to have acquired these.
I had the same model...
Late to the party
Hi, i'm just seeing this....I have a question: If you press the "Cancel/Drain" button does the machine go through that process and then shut off? If so, are you able to re-start it by selecting "Normal/Full Cycle"?
If the cancel sequence does not work than it is your...
Updates
Hi everyone. First, my apologies to those who requested items. Work has been seriously busy these past couple of weeks and I haven't had much free time at home. I have replied to everyone who reached out on specific parts. These items have been spoken for:

John had it.... It is indeed a Mallory timer! See the pics....
Shaun was referring to the Maytag washing machine timer (A700), while Ben was referring to the dryer timer. I'll have to check the dryer timer tomorrow as it's packed away. Sorry for any confusion.
Hi Sean, I think the Maytag timer is a Controls Corporation model; I'll check it and get back to you. Yes, the timer & controls are from a Whirlpool model, a Supreme or Imperial series from the early 70's (I cannot find the exact model info; it was lost in a previous "feng shui" attack!) The...
