Guys, as you can See, Kevin, Darryl and I have been quite busy lately.

All that because I took two weeks off Lyft and Uber and had plenty of time to spend on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.

We found the SQ Ultra-Mate, Kevin's new Miele pair, a Samtag Neptune gas dryer (to match the washer Kevin already has and is visiting my laundry room) and a White Westinghouse Spacemates washer (pictures later) that Kevin bought and is also here visiting. Am I forgetting something? Maybe yes, I'm not sure...

The SQ seems fine. I OCD cleaned it, the dryer drum rollers were just deformed and went back to the original shape, no replacement needed. The machine is fully operational and beautiful after I polished it (more pics and videos later, when Kevin has some time to come here and help me with the gas connection).

Now I'm starting with the White Westinghouse Spacemates washer.
The door boot is long damaged (not a surprise at all) and the previous owner was stupid enough to continue using it up to the very last day.

The washer is nasty. I removed the baffles yesterday and scrubbed the tub as well as I could. I also managed to clean the button catcher that was HORRIBLE with at least 3 decades of lint, gunk and more coins than my piggy bank. I won't even mention the 1 1/2 small bucket of gunk I could manually remove There was probably no more than 2mm gap between the drum and the tub and it's now draining much faster.

Anyway, I'm desperate for a door boot. Not only one, at least FIVE, because I know Kevin also has some Spacemates in his Washers Disneyland so it will be great to bring them all back to life. As I'm going to fix one, why not fix all of them at once and make Kevin happy after so much help he's giving me.

I Also need a drain pump, it I'm not asking too much.

Is there any hope?

I remember I saw not too long ago a member that did a fantastic job making Frigidaire pulsators, but I couldn't find the thread. Can anybody help me?

I'll also post later the serial number (I'll actually ask Darryl to post here because he's the one that loves taking notes of everything.) I'll post pictures later as well.

This will be a big project, as I'm planning to bring 4 or 5 Spacemates washers and 3 or 4 Spacemates dryers back to life and hopefully Kevin will end up with a Westinghouse wall next to the Miele wall.

I hope there's some room left at Washers Disneyland because I just found on Craigslist something else Kevin would die for.

Westinghouse- White Westinghouse FL Washers

Hi Guys, these are fun washers good performing washers, a must for any serious vintage collection.

This design was built from 1959- 1988 so parts are still around, the boot you need is Pt # Q133321, the complete water pump was Pt# Q 165317 however the WP was easy to disassemble and could often be fixed without replacing the complete assembly.

THANK YOU John & Ben for the PN info, very much appreciated!

One thought I have about these Westinghouse FL washers, is to convert them to an electric drain pump, but I haven't gone any further than thinking about it.

Thomas, I don't know that I really need 4 tub bots, but 2 for sure, maybe a 3rd, I need to check them again.

Thank you to all!

Kevin

LT250JXD1 How to disassemble for removal

Real estate purchase included this Westinghouse pair (LT250JXD1 / DNH13217).
Need to dissemble for removal. Online Google search yields zero result for an owner manual. Any suggestions where I could find instructions before I resort to explosives?

Thanks in advance.

How to disassemble for removal.

Let me clarify.
the Stacked unit is in what is called the laundry room.
they dryer is on top and is hardwired into an outlet so I need to disconnect this first. What I can't see is how they are attached to each other and the washer is on top of a drain pan.

That are no installation or operation documents in the condo it is located in.

If I can figure out how to separate the two items, we can move them out as they currently block the water heater which needs to be replaced.

Any instructions or photos you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Captain.

Removing dryer from top of washer white Westinghouse pair

There should be a panel on the lower left front of the dryer. That’s about 8 x 8“. You remove that by removing one screw at the bottom of this panel usually a Phillips head screw.

Then you reach into the panel in the front left corner. There should be a 7/16 head Bolt that you remove and then about 2/3 of the way across the front there should be a second boat like that , that you have to remove. Once those two bolts are removed if you lift up slightly on the dryer and pull it forward, it should lift right off the washer. There are probably two clips in the back that the dryer slides on to.

Thanks for the clear direction of steps to take.
Will advise if I run into any other issues.
Hello ,
The unit is not as described, how do I attach a photo? The dryer is stacked on top, and the front panel has no removable access panels. It is a solid one piece with some attachment screws at the bottom. (see a comparable pic here, https://images.app.goo.gl/FiGih5daWXkcBZr48). Do I need to remove the complete front panel to separate the two units?

Let me know your thoughts.

You remove the small access panel on the lower left front. Press in on the top of the panel
And it will rotate out from the bottom. Remove it and follow the instructions John detailed.
