    GE Wringer Washer Help

We picked up a GE Wringer Washer locally. My husband put a new cord on. The agitator and wringer work well. However, the handle to turn the agitator on and off does not engage and neither does the button for the drain. Does anyone know what we can do to make these things work? Pictures included...

Piece of plug stuck in Wonder Oven outlet

Thank you, all! I’ll try shutting off the power and trying needle nose pliers. I’ll update with my success (or failure!). And the egg cooker was definitely spark-tacular, that’s for sure. And here I’d thought I’d finally found a way to convince my eleven-year old that vintage is awesome!

Piece of plug stuck in Wonder Oven outlet

Hey there, I haven’t been on in quite a while (probably 2015) and some of you were so helpful I was hoping you could help me again. I have a Frigidaire RS-50 1953 Wonder Oven that is working beautifully. Unfortunately, today I plugged a vintage Hankscraft egg cooker into the range top...

    The Wonder Oven is working!

Thermizer While I'm thinking about it...does anyone know what type of thrift cooker was used in the 1953 Frigidaire? I'm having trouble finding a picture of exactly what type (or size) was used. The owner I bought this from says she still has the thermizer, but it's somewhere in her barn. I'm...

    The Wonder Oven is working!

I posted before about purchasing a Frigidaire RS-50, and some forum members (thanks norgeway!) gave us advice on how to get the wonder oven working again. My husband sanded down the connectors and rewired the elements so that it works, and the broiler is up and running. I have yet to try to make...

    A Frigidaire Twin-30

Anyone have any ideas on where to find a vent hood for this thing? I'll keep scouring the internet, but it doesn't fit underneath our old vent.

    A Frigidaire Twin-30

Thanks everyone! I'll definitely post pics once we have everything installed...it might be a while; still have to rip out our old cabinets and move the RS50 to a different room (that thing is heavy!). Thanks for the note on the surface lamp, too! p.s. Guess I shouldn't have called it...

    A Frigidaire Twin-30

will be mine to go with my Frigidaire RS-50 that I posted about a few weeks back. I'm getting metal kitchen cabinets with the original formica top...and this stove was in her house. The whole house is time capsule 50s...the mil died and they're tearing it all out. I'm tapped now, but boy I wish...

Australia Thanks so much for explaining the situation with housing costs in Australia. I really appreciate that; and it makes me appreciate my house and its affordability a lot more. -chaik

Australia rapunzel, How does anyone manage to afford a house? Are rents cheaper? Where I live it is cheaper to buy than rent and about 80% of the inhabitants in my area buy.

Guess what I found at Big Lots

I grew up 20 minuteI s from Hershey, so I'm Hershey's chocolate all the way. You could get a real factory tour until 1973. I know non-Americans don't like it, but wow, the smell. YUM! Never heard of Bosco before today. Most "good" chocolates don't taste good to me. Now I'm curious; might need to...
