It does a super job on dirty jeans as I should know, every spring working in the yard my jeans get really dirty and the whirlpool does a great job in getting out the dirt.
I would go with the direct drive Whirlpool or the Roper(made by Whirlpool). They are the most dependable and very easy to fix if something goes wrong (if you are handy). I have a dd Whirlpool and it is super dependable and has a very large tub. But its all up to you.

I remember a laundromat in Damariscotta ME that had the Hoyt laundry equipement from the early 70's. They were fun to watch as some people would put too much detergent in them and they would go into spin with suds galore. Oh the memories.
Robert, just have to say you are so creative, that video was great and so informative. Just love the other guests in the film as they made it a bit more special with their comments. Great job.

I still have 2 carry cool AC's, one a GE 5800 btu unit and a Hotpoint 5000 btu unit. They are called into service when the central AC unit breaks down. I also bring a carry cool unit when we go to our vacation home for the bedroom unit. They both work well and I keep them clean.

Hi All,
I have been watching Knots Landing on Plex and noticed that most of the kitchen appliances are from GE. But the dishwashers all seem to be from Magic Chef from what I see. The Kenmore washer that Karen and Sid have are Kenmore picture window models which at the beginning are coppertone...
I think it is a Whirlpool fridge from the early to mid 70's. Looks very familiar to the one we had growing up. The door design looks very similar to the one we had.

Ben, all I have to say is that you are super talented in the restoration of this washer. You really should pat yourself on the back for the time and effort to get this machine up and running again. My hats off to you.

Guy,
My 2 cents on this machine, get it. it looks to be from the late 60's to the early 70,s based on the controls of the machine and backsplash. Whirlpool made a great dishwasher at this time and this being a topload it is a rare one. Go for it and enjoy it.

I would be interested in getting this from you, if you would let me know the cost of shipping it to northern NJ Let me know as you can email me. Thanks

We had that very dryer growing up in the very early 60's, it worked very well and dried most loads in 30 minutes or so. It also has an ozone light in it that worked well. It was replaced in 1972 with a Kenmore 70 series machine. Boy if this was close I would try to get it, its a good dryer.
