Hi, saw your post while I was looking for other info. I have one about the same age, 1953 or 1954. The freezer compartment is Anodized aluminum I think. Not sure if there is a good way to paint that.
Thank you so much for the picture! That looks very close to what I remember. My mom had that dryer till 1974 when she got a new set of Brown Whirlpools. She had those till she passed away in 2003. I kinda wish now that I had kept them, but didn't have room at the time.
