A bit early but after seeing the Christmas displays in the shops lately it got me thinking of the quality of Christmas lights etc. Do you think the LED lights are indistinguishable now between the filament type?

@ozzie908 Is the Ariel professional better than the powders bought in Sainsburys and Tesco? Where do you get yours?
Any reason for the Calgon tablet?
@rolls_rapide I suppose i could just add a scoop of own brand Tesco or Sainsburys 'Whites' booster on top of the Splosh as also suggested by @foraloysius
@launderess Thanks for the recommendation of the Miele powder. Will give it a try when it becomes available to buy from their website!
There can't be that many detergent manufacturers about apart from the big companies such as Unilever and Procter and Gamble.
I read the Ariel Bio gel is...
@ozzie908 I had the Kenwood Chef with liquidiser attachment and i reckon it must of been over 40 years old when it packed up. Had lots of use and i probably will replace it with either a Kenwood Chef or Kenwood Kmix. I currently just use my Kenwood Kmix hand mixer which is brilliant and does all...
Currently using Splosh powder however even on 60C it doesn't get dirt out and the whites look dull and dingy. Has anyone else used Splosh and how did they find it in stain removal? I don't have much white items but any recommendations for the best detergent that gets things clean first time...
Looking for a replacement food mixer and after some genuine feedback on anyone who owns a Kenwood or KitchenAid machine. Which do they prefer and is a better overall make and longevity?
Failing those makes i had looked into a Magimix which i am pleased to see are made in France and not China!
@chrisbsuk Thanks for the link regarding the Meaco dehumidifier. Reasonably priced too! I don't normally have a problem drying clothes but this year haven't started the central heating as its too mild and too warm to have the log burner running as well.
Does anyone own a dehumidifier and how effective are they are for drying laundry? The Ebac dehumidifiers seem to get good reviews though not sure if i would be better off considering a dryer. Only issue is i have no spare room for one so maybe a compact one would be a good compromise?
@hoovermatic meant to mention in my last post Persil Powergems can be found in Wilko or Roys of Wroxham depending where you are in the UK. Normally they have the bio or non bio variants but don't tend to have much stock!
