I'm not sure when they went away. I'm having a lot of trouble finding anything about them. I managed to find some trademark documents for ZIF. Filed 1977, first use in 1966. The B-70 document I found was registered 1973, first use in 1970.
I also have a car wash liquid, lemon wood polish, floor...
Now, a little more on-topic for this forum, the B-70 laundry compound.
This stuff is PACKED into the box hard. It's in a plastic bag, which is good since the box is now falling apart, and even when new the powder is rock hard packed in. You have to dig it out with something sturdy. I was quite...
We apparently have some old stock (some NOS) of various Bestline cleaning supplies. Does anybody remember them? I don't expect too many since they were commercial, not consumer products. They had environmentally friendly, concentrated formulas. This was in the 70s and 80s, waaaaaay before...
Thanks for the tips! Worked great.
What I did was open the lid a little, put a cloth over one ball (the right-side, since that's where I was pulling), pulled the right-side of the lid until it popped out. The balls safely drop into the washer rather than flying about.
Putting it back was...
How do you remove the lid??
It has the two balls holding the cover on, which seem to fit tightly. I'm trying to clean in behind the lid and around the lid switch, which is difficult with the lid in place.
@toploader, That's a beautiful location!
@passatdoc, Local prices being what they are, I had better find myself some european friends and relatives to help keep me supplied! LOL
Finally, the right label.
The right-side outlet is marked AUTO. The outlet itself is cracked, but doesn't pose a problem (yet, anyway).
I would definitely have to read a manual for modern ranges, but this one is quite simple to just figure out. The labels in the top cover help you deal with...
The centre label. There's an automatic roast control! I have never used it though.
You can also see the 8 fuses. One for each element - 4 on top, 2 in the oven. Two for the lamp, rotisserie, and left/right outlets.
Close up of the clock and oven controls. The glass is still dirty but I'm working on that. It's much nicer than before. When the "Minute Minder" goes off, it's a slow *ding* *ding* *ding* ... It's not very loud but it's nice to hear a real bell. :)
Here's the console. There's paint from an old pot that must have boiled dry. Tough to clean that. I'll have to look into getting a replacement. The paint is also coming off the console cover. You can see the fluorescent light from under the top cover. The "cool white" contrasts with the warmer...
