Water getting into bearings, but this classic machine with it's switched reluctance motor and rising UFO spin runup sound will of course be fixed :) When I got the washer about 15 years ago, it was afflicted with door latch wax motor flashover/blown SCR problem-fix was easy and cheap.

I like the angled corners. How did the tumble and spin profiles differ on each fabric selection?
