Our family friend Glenna C. owned a Constellation when I was a little kid, and I always wanted to see it. I thought it looked like the planet Saturn. Hers was blue and gray.

I have a miniature Constellation that is a tape measure, it's tan and about 1.5" tall. Just got it last Summer at our historical society sale.

I just got this machine yesterday from a friend of mine. I don't know much about it other than the fact it's a Royal. I'll eventually post a video of it up close.

I've never seen one like that before. The attachments look like the ones from the Royal 1940s hot-dog style vacuum that the lady that was our sitter when my sister and I were kids had as her upstairs machine.

A neighbor gave me an old Constellation when I was a kid. Hoover reissued it in stainless steel a decade ago with a turbo nozzle. I think their Celebrity and Dimension 1000 were their best.
I've got my mom's Eureka #1279 Brandywine that I bought her in 1979. Also the companion top of the line #1289 canned ham shaped one. I found it at the salvation store for $10. Our weekly vacuum is a Vacuflo 466Q.

We bought a new Hoover Constellation in 2005, not the stainless steel version, but the light grey enamel finish. It has a Turbo Nozzle and it is a great little vacuum! David particularly likes to use this vacuum for dusting the Venetian Blinds as the horse hair dusting brush that it came with does an excellent job. I really don’t know why they stopped making this model. We’ve both been very pleased with ours in the 20 years we’ve been using it. The long, flexible hose is wonderful, especially for vacuuming stairs.
