    Compact Lady Kenmore Rinse

What did you do stupidly? Were the pumps OK?

    Our washer died today! :(

I'd jump all over that Kenmore for that price. Pretty much all the stuff mentioned in this thread (except for the GE products) is actually a Direct-Drive washer built by Whirlpool in Clyde, OH. If the Serial number starts with "C" that is your clue. When WP bought Maytag they closed down all...

    My New Washer

So you bought this out of spite? Pop off the front panel and give us a pic of what you see, please. Hydrowave? GivemE a break!?

    Keeping blue jeans blue

Launder inside out. 2 TPSB Salt on initial cold water wash. Use as little detergent as possible and hang dry inside. No heat tumble for 10 min so they bend slightly at hips and knees.

One of my projects I did semi recently

Now show us your multi-plex drain thingy, or did you just use a 6" standpipe and adapt it down to your drain?

    Isn't this sad

The newer WP's do not agitate with the lid open. Probably due to cases like this. The newer Fishy-Pickles don't even fill with the lid up and they have a lock for spin. I am surprised the trans hadn't failed or the trunnion bolt heads didn't shear on the W-W. What a POS! I'll be glad when they...

    Replacing Refrigerators to Save Energy

Plastic compartment liners are especially easy to mfg very cheaply. They can be blow molded in a matter of seconds and the tooling can last virtually forever. Another advantage to plastics is they do not transfer heat as easily as metals, esp aluminum. The real efficiency gains for ref's has...

    Kenmore BD pump problems

Was it a new new one or a new old one? Rubber, etc has a shelf life. Is the actuating lever traveling fully?

    Frigidaire Two-Way Tumble Dryer

The reversing feature requires a DC drive motor and a special control board. Most of my customers who have one don't even realize it is a reversing dryer. It really doesn't make a difference in drying performance.

    KitchenAid Pro Line

Remember the old joke about the blind man? He was selling pencils for $10,000 each. A passerby asked if he thought he would sell many pencils at that price. He replied that he only wanted to sell one.

    Lies, Lies, Lies

Anyone actually believe this came off "a almost new machine" with cosmetic damage? If so I have a whole shed full of almost new items I would love to sell you. http://cgi.ebay.com/GE-Dryer-Gas-Valve-Assembly-Part-347257-279894_W0QQitemZ180115729991QQihZ008QQcategoryZ20714QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    coin laundries

What really turned me off to public laundries was a sign in our local one as a kid: "No Horse Laundry" I guess dog, cat or pig laundry was Okay.

OT: Anyone remember The Electric Company TV show?

As I recall, Spiderman was a frequent guest star. I guess being a journeyman actor in NYC at the time you had to take whatever work you got. Now that he is in Major Motion Pictures he thinks he is too cool for PBS, as if. "LY" and "Silent E" were both written by Tom Lehrer, a singer/songwriter...

    fisher paykel

No, the Cabrioasis works like a Fishy-Pickle. WP is using F&P technology under license to have a head start on 2012 water usage regulations. Pretty soon it'll be the only kind of top-loader you can buy new. The latest model from F&P is the WL26CW1 called the Aquasmart. No center agitator and the...

    Cal State Northridge Equipment Lab

I hope they all take turns cleaning the built-in coffee system after every 6 cups.

    LG Tromm Front Loader

The water level control is not a simple pressure switch but a frequency generator. You may be able to get more water each fill by adjusting the screw on the sensor and void whatever warranty you have on the unit as well. What model do you have? "Tromm" is not descriptive enough.

Never Used? GE Kitchen Center in Kountze, Texas

Can you post some good pics of the fridge?

center tub seal & bearing: I have yet to see either fail motor rotor, stator: Rock solid, no failures in normal use. had a guy who dropped his unit (never got a real explanation) and cracked a magnet in the rotor position sensor: I see about one a year water valves: one or two a year tub...

    fisher paykel

Every single day, as an authorized servicer I get a lot of calls. The pumps can leak and take out the controller, the diverter valves fail or get clogged, the drive splines for the spin tub wear out. Everything can break. F&P builds a great machine, very well designed.

    This is hilarious!!!

Wait, some of the members/posters are gay? You'll have to be much more obviously flamboyant, please. And could any African-American posters/members please write only in Ebonics so we can easily identify you? The Hispanic folks will have to post a Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican or whatever flag...
