    "Manilla, 50's Whirlpool dryer..."

LOL, Well he tried.... ...just trying to be positive. Manilla, OMG! It's like watching a 4 year old trying on his fathers shoes, or in this case his mothers high heels, with a look of bewilderment on his face. since when does a 6 month old GE refrig qualify as Classic? "stock knobs" ...

I know I am just being snarky and asking for trouble by asking for... trouble. but, you wouldn't maybe have some pictures/video of the shower of sparks flying or things literally melting down would you? What ever you did here you apparently lost your shirt doing it. Does copper wire cost a...

Look what Youcrate brought me today!!!!!!!

I do like the Blue, for sure. Now if it only came on the dispensall. But since you have such a good progressive attitude ("Welch would have shot these people. Course, I'd like to shoot Welch"), I'm not going to argue with you about about which might be considered the PRID-DEE-IST.

I do love those GEs. This is what 1975ish.?? God those commercials were so ... ...innocent. can't even compare to todays, high-res. graphics crap. Perhaps a southpark mother trying to clean up Kennys hooded Jacket that has been retrieved from his latest beheading. "...Tide even removes dry...

Soon to be very COOL KitchenAid KD-12 Dishwasher

Hobart made some interesting stuff. The Church I belonged to when I lived in Northboro, MA. had a Hobart undercounter machine. I am guessing it was late 60s or a bit newer. but it only took one all plastic removable "rack" that had no tines and no wheels. ??? they looked like those racks you...

lol, toploader. thing is, I don't see that as a problem for Robert. It's amazing how small they made those DWs, considering the amount of space they allotted for it. Sweet, your adorable pet electroluxs frollicking in the background just as pets often do.

"That's when nature starts to get confused for many guys: it stops growing hair on their heads and starts growing it out their ears and noses." Actually it isn't nature getting confused, it is people in the U.S. failing to admit their age and corporations exploiting people by making them feel...

Anyone Consider Going Into The Laundry "Business"

with more and more apartments having in unit machines or in building laundry rooms....? even homes used to be built (the 50s & 60) where laundry was optional. Now even the smallest tract homes has room for at least a stacked W/D. Mobile homes were the same way. remember in the 50s and 60s when...

Anyone with Frigidaire dishwashers want to attest to this?

In 2000 I bought one of the last ALMOND (before switching to Bisque) Near TOL Frig. DW. I thought is was awesome. I liked the reversing motor that would wash one rack, then the other. And you could conserve by washing only one rack. And it was quiet, and sleek. Now I can't speak for longevity...

I don't know who Tom Maloney is, but I don't blame him for being "excited" about Paul Hunt. I must admit that I am a bit "excited" about this HAIRY hottie. (can you tell I am not a fan of the whole electrolosis/shaving fad. decimating ones body, it's just not natural or healthy. so fake.)

any members knows the year of these vintage beautys

mid 70s. Now we know what GE did with all the extra parts from the various brands they manufactured at the time(JCPenny/Penncrest/GE/Hotpoint) Throw the extra parts together in hodpodge: install the dryer door handle too close to the edge of the door(just to be different) use a Penncrest side...

    JCPenney Washer

I was going to comment on the tub holes too. I wonder if that was some attempt at saving water. Seeing as how once the machine was running, with the filter ring adding water to the tub, the water probably did not run out the few holes in the bottom as fast as it was being pumped in. This way...
