    Updates of the Laundry Studio

Thanks to a small flood salt month, the floors got clean and every machine got pulled out. After some rearranging, here are the first pictures. Floow the link to a slide show. http://cid-1de761d09857c90b.skydrive.live.com/play.aspx/Laundry%20Studio%20Updates/front%20loaders%2001.jpg?ref=2

My guess this would go in the combo category

Just when I thought I'd seen it all, there's that 1961 Hotpoint Custom Trend Stove. Well, this is bound to be a classic one day, too! Just remember where you saw it first!

    My Frigidaire Front Loader

I liked the link... Saw an unusual picture. Was wondering if this would be considered a combo?

This is a new one for me

WOW! How unusual. Looks like it had a rotisserie in the oven, too. Look at the oven picture.

    I Finally did it!!!

Maytag Coin op washers I thought Maytag was still making the coin-op Neptune but just went to the commercial site and it is no more. http://www.maytagcommerciallaundry.com/

Light fixture Love the light fixture. Might I make a suggestion? Put an incandescent clear (non-frosted) light bulb in it. I wonder if the walls in the room would be covered with tiny circles.

    Company from NC

Bob O'Rear (frigidaireguy) came down to Georgia, yesterday, to pick up a Dryer and Dishwasher, help me move a few things and do some laundry. There just wasn't enough time, so he's going to have to come back, again. Did some wash in the 57 AMP, Bravos, and 67 Rapidry and moved lots of stuff...

Frigidaire and Kenmore Smoothtop Electric Ranges Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

Can you see what the problem is? Here is a paste from the recall web page: The model and serial number can be found by opening the range drawer at the base of the unit. Sold at: Sears and other national chain and independent retailers nationwide from June 2001 through August 2009 for between...

    POD 8/31/09

Did Easy actually design and build the machine or did they re-badge a competitor's? I though that was the case with Crosley being made by the parent company of Bendix.

GM seeks to cancel contract with WCI

Dream on.... You're just wishful thinking. Do you really think the appliances would be manufactured in the USA? Not with the high cost of labor and unions. More likely "Hecho en Mexico."

    One Ringy-Dingy

Here's one of my favorite characters from almost 50 years ago. Enjoy!

    1957 Frigidaire training film

This film was dated 1956 but it was an introduction to the 1957 Sheer look Frigidaire products. I wish the color quality was better. If I were casting the part of our desperate housewife it would go to Bree Van de Kamp-Hodge.

    Freeze-in

Remember the '60's TV show Laugh-In? Check out this movie! It was made for Sears appliance salesmen. The film tries to capitalize on the zany format of TV's Laugh-In to introduce the new Coldspot freezer campaign. I found this "verrrry interrresting." Hope you enjoy.

A Question for the Laundry Experts :

BIZ Bob (Appnut) turned me on to Biz a few years ago. The stuff is amazing. I wash my friend's white chef smocks in an AEG washer with a built in water heater. It starts out with cold water and washes until the water temperature is about 140 degrees. I refer to this machine as the 'stain...

    Kenmore Portable Roto-Rack DW

Bob, What a memory you have! Remember the modification I made to the machine. The Sani-wash cycle delayed the last rinse to 150 degrees. I altered the cam in the timer and added the temperature delay to the second wash as well so it was truly a SANI-WASH.

GM seeks to cancel contract with WCI

Wouldn't GM be surprised to see what's still around and running.

FINALLY! Something OTHER than Harvest Gold!

I have almost identical set in white, too. My washer does not have the Permanent press cycle. I have another 806 on the shop (coppertone) that has the exact configuration. The dryer has the 4 Automatic cycles and the wonderful bell. That's the old halo - of - heat dryer, too. Built like a tank...
