Something stuck in the dump/drain valve will cause water to enter and drain out right away.

Looking up the model # it appears to be frost free, but few parts seem to available for it. Best to you both. John

If this is a halo of heat dryer it uses 2 belts...Y311013 & Y 311012. They are still available.

The ribbed side of the belt gets wrapped around the motor pulley. The ribbed side goes against the drum surface.

If the centrifugal switch is bad, I don't think it is available as a separate part....you may have to replace the drive motor.

The Maytag dw has a chopper and no filter to clean. The whirlpool dw has the global wash system that alterates wash arms and has a troublesome actuator motor. The Kenmore Elite higher models have the micro clean wash system. No filter to clean, but does have the actuator. You can also wash top...

Buy a clean refurbed super capacity Kenmore/Whirlpool direct drive washer. 2 piece dual action agitator and a speed select switch, if possible....and NO cold water washes!!

If you are looking for reliable and long lasting, in todays world you can't do better than a WP/Kenmore direct drive washer. The one in your post is a fully featured top of the line model. Have you checked Ebay for a timer?

Excellent fully featured washer. DD's have always been my favorite washers for dependability and performance for the money.

Not really. That agitator is for a coin op washer that has one water level and standard capacity.

BOL highlander washer with timed fill. It had the skinny post agitator similar to the wringer agitator. It also had a chrome strip that wrapped around the top. I did come across one about 25 years ago. I never thought Maytag made a timed fill model.

Another thought....try the permanent press cycle to see if it completes the cycle. The pp cycle does have a pause at the "cooldown" phase after the wash and during the partial drain. Then refills with cold water, agitates and drains and spin normally. Then rinse fill and spin to complete the cycle.
