    kds 20 wash arm bushing

Definitely need a wash arm! The bronze bushing from the wash arm hub came out of thew wash arm and is on the stainless-steel shaft of the support. That bushing is supposed to stay in the wash arm. And it almost looks like the lower bronze ring is still there. If i were you, I would get the...

    kds 20 wash arm bushing

Right on the head! Yes, I would agree with Ralph. The wash arm support sounds like it is shot. Start checking on Ebay for a new one. Don't bother with a used one as it will probably do the same thing as yours with continued use. And while you are at it, you should replace the wash arm as well...

Kitchenaid KDI-18 cleaning poorly. Need new wash arm support?

Screw size just so you have it The screw you need to secure the impeller down with is part number SC-066-19. That is the Hobart/KitchenAid number. The screw is 10-32 x 7/16 Phillip Truss Head Stainless steel. That should be enough to get it from Ace or True Value hardware.

Kitchenaid KDI-18 cleaning poorly. Need new wash arm support?

435102 seal kit The current list price from Hobart is $191.76. There are 12 in stock. You can order it directly from the Hobart parts E-store or by calling your local Hobart office. I don't know where you sourced the $500.00 price. Either way, the price is exorbitant but what can you do...

    Refrigerator water filters: Change intervals

My wife and I are having a heated discussion about built in water filters and when they really need to be replaced. The real issue is how does the refrigerator know when to turn on the light that says to replace the filter. I remember reading that there is a counter that records how many times...

    KitchenAid foot panel missing

Vari-Front Pack Is what you need to replace the missing lower panel. Obviously, the original owners had a matching wood panel on the bottom. The Vari-front pack allowed you to change the panel colors or add a custom panel to match the cabinets. Perhaps someone in the "club" has either the...

Kitchenaid/Hobart Superba KDS-58 water leak above drain hose

OEM only You will not find the seal at a hardware store. It is a 2 part item. The stationary part goes into the lower housing and the rotating part is part of the drain impeller which is the top part. The Whirlpool part number is 4162139 and they are NLA from WP but available on Ebay for damned...

Kitchenaid/Hobart Superba KDS-58 water leak above drain hose

Shaft seal.. If everything is tight and there are no holes in the hoses, it all sounds like it is a worn out shaft seal. Since it leaks when it is running, it would drip down on to the cooling fan on the top of the motor and get slung out in a circular pattern. It sprays all over the bottom of...

    Kitchen Aid DW color panels

May be the later series The 18-23 series panels measure as follows: Upper door panel is 23-9/16" x 18-13/16" Lower Panel is 23-11/16" x 6-5/8" NOTE: the "Architect" series top door panel is actually smaller in height due to the larger control panel on those machines. Looks like your panels...

    Kitchen Aid DW color panels

Size matters! Since there was a change in designs between the 70's and 80's, the panel sizes changed when the door was lengthened on the 18 series and up. Can you please provide the dimensions of the panels so members will know it they will fit their particular machine?

This Red Goat light duty disposer is a Old Kitchenaid design ????

All in the family! Wes, first of all, good to see you posting again here. Hope all is well with you. If you or anyone else is not aware, Red Goat was bought by ITW some years back when Standex Corp broke up its brands and sold them to a number of different companies. It is now part of ITW Food...

    KDS-21 wont final drain

Sounds like a clogged or collapsed drain hose Preventing it from fully draining. Do you hear it draining in the sink drain or disposer? Did you install a new disposer and forget to completely remove the knockout for the dishwasher drain? Try removing the drain hose from under the sink and let...

    Kenmore dryer heater

Not always! For safety's sake, always remove the power source when first troubleshooting the dryer. You want to check the thermostats first to see if they are working and will allow the electricity to flow thru them to power the element and heat the dryer. No power is required to do that...

    Kenmore dryer heater

Multi-meter and donor machine Chris, you test the thermostat by seeing if there is continuity thru it. You need a multimeter that will test for continuity. It will also measure voltage and resistance and other functions depending on which setting you select. You can pick up a meter at Harbor...

    Kenmore dryer heater

Less than meets the eye! Chris, Just because a dryer doesn't get hot does not mean it has a bad element. As you know, it can be a bad thermostat, a broken wire or a bad thermal fuse. All these items need to be checked before buying a new element. Also, someone may say it doesn't heat, but...
