    1992 Whirlpool Washer Model LA7680XTN1

Hey Louvac, I think the first thing to do is tilt the machine back and see if that brown liquid is actually coming from the left front corner or is there a bunch more of it under the machine and where is it dripping from. Has it happened more than once after you wiped it up?

    Prewar Bendix

Super cool find Justin, I really like the pre-war Bendix washers with the front spray fill flume that drenches and rinses the clothes as opposed to the post-war Bendix washers where the fill was directed above the wash cylinder.

"Last of the Best" - Production of the Final Dryer at WP St. Joe - 16mm Film

Wow very cool to see a dryer like that being assembled. Love the gold color paint, I assume it was just gold color paint and not real gold leaf paint but who knows. I do have to wonder what happened to those workers when the Dryer Division moved from Michigan to I assume Indiana.

Wanted: Whirlpool belt drive water level hose

Sean out of curiosity how are you securing those PVC pipes on the inside of the outer tub and creating a seal? Just curious because there isn't much room between the outer tub and wash basket even with the protruding dimple in the outer tub.

    Real Vintage Dishwasher Detergent

I agree with what others said, I've never had good luck using vintage dishwasher detergent unfortunately. Dishwasher detergent seems to have a shelf life that does expire with time. On the other hand I've had extremely good luck and results using vintage phosphate laden laundry detergent. As...

    Thor Automagic!

An interesting concept behind this machine that most of the public did not accept. Using the same machine to wash dishes and clothes had very little appeal. Except what the public didn't understand is the tubs are completely separate, the way it is designed there is no way that any water that...

Maytag Presents: The Los Angeles Story - 16mm Film

Ugh that was so super cool! I love seeing the appliance departments of old department stores, just like I remember them when I was a kid in 60s. Love the freeway shots as well!

    Early Mechanical Dishwashing

Is that your downstairs kitchen, Robert? That would have to be the sub-basement below the main basement Tom :-) lol.

    Early Mechanical Dishwashing

Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread, however I believe I just found an image of the absolute very first General Electric dishwasher from the early 1930's after GE acquired the Walker Dishwasher Company. Just wanted to put it here for reference as this is the thread it should go in...

My Rubber Molding Skills Saves My 1953 Apex Wash-a-Matic!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words, I'm thrilled to be able to fix this properly. I probably should have learned to do this sooner, but I don't think the chemicals were anywhere near what they are now. Do you know what the minimum water pressure is? I wonder if it would work on my gravity...

My Rubber Molding Skills Saves My 1953 Apex Wash-a-Matic!

So I was doing a load of wash early last week in my Apex and when the load was done I noticed there was a stream of water was running out the bottom of the machine. So I took off the machine's lower skirt panel to investigate and sure enough water is leaking out of the safety valve. The Apex...

Betty Furness Introduces Frigidaire's Very First Automatic Washer with a Full Cycle Video!

i suppose another thing you could do is film a vid of the Super Unimatic Unfortunately the Super Unimatic's old computer was taken out by a power surge several years ago. I'm planning on rebuilding it someday but it's not on the list of things I'd like to do washer-wise this year.

    Challenge C-WD - The 1957 Kenmore Turbo-Matic - 16mm Film

Gosh I love all these videos so much Cory, thank you again. I hope you don't mind, I created an animated gif of my favorite part of that video! Look at that prototype combo washing surrounded by Plexiglas, so freaking cool!
