can someone offer their opinion on the Frigidaire FRG5714KW (Gas model)? Our Amana (electric) is 14 years old and still runs, but natural gas is more energy efficient. Am I making a good choice? Dave http://www.frigidaire.com/products/home-appliances/dryers/frg5714kw

    Saturn and Saab gone?

Had a 1995 Saab 900s I agree, it was in the shop more than my driveway. I'm very good with my cars. I have a 1967 VW Beetle and a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T with 179,000 miles on it and it runs like a champ. The Saab never did. Figured out what the acronym was: Somethings Almost Always Broken and...

To name a few.... 1) removing and replacing bellows clamps 2) dislodging a stuck Maytag Agitator 3) the ultimate "BobLoad" Instead of medals, we could hand out painted...

    Frigidaire Rollermatic Pump Housing

Does anyone out there have the lower pump housing for a 1967 WCIL? The part number is 7538340. This is the housing that has what appears to be a vacuum break-style reservoir. TrainGuy said he had one early last year and was going to send one, but he has been unreachable. Thanks guys. Dave

Is this the Frigidaire washer-sock commercial everyone is looking for?

not the same commercial as Handy Andy The Handy Andy commercial is using the '70's vintage agitator vs. a Kenmore Dual Action. The one I saw was using the pre-1970s Deep Action agitator.

Is this the Frigidaire washer-sock commercial everyone is looking for?

Actually...I think I remember.... A commercial in the mid '60s of a lady sitting on a stool next to a clear tub with a Deep Action agitator in it doing the sock test. Was I dreaming or was that a real commercial?

    Panasonic TR-005 portable TV

I have that exact TV It was sold from 1971/72. My Aunt Helen bought it for me for my 8th birthday. I have it proudly displayed in my media room, and yes, it still works. What a fun set. I remember as a kid watching All in the Family, the Brady Bunch and even Nixon resigning on it. Dave

Restoring the Unimatic WO-65 - HELP NEEDED!

Those 8 screws just hold the hub assembly to the tub. There is no reason to take the hub assembly off of the tub. You will be able to clean the tub beautifully with the hub assembly still attached.
