Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Great Kenmore pair you've got there. Those are 70/700 series models from 1970. The washer should have the gold Super Rotoswirl, and I believe that window dial lights up.

Have a good one,
James

Hotpoint

That Hotpoint Fridge is the one I grew up with. They sure did a lot of detail back then. Just Beautiful. Eddie

And the Single door Fridgidaire is exactly the same one I grew up with at my Aunt Irma's House. What a trip.

speed Queen full size stack pair

The 1984 SQ set seems to work but had lived in a very smokey house. I already had an almond 1988 electric model that i had in pieces because when Tom and i found it, it had been dropped off a delivery truck on the dryer top and the cabinet was destroyed. Yesterday I parted out the one pictured for the dryer cabinet and top trim and a few other smaller parts ( another appliance killed buy 2nd hand smoke) it was making the whole warehouse smell sadly the owner probably died before the SQ. Its an interesting machine the washer and dryer are the same size tubs as thier standard models the washer has the SS tub they both are lighted inside. The dryer is turned upside down with the motor and heater assembly being at the very top so the dryer drum is easer to reach into. The washer tilts out for loading and unloading it has a neat electictly controlled locking system to keep you from tilting the washer when its full of water and best of all its the only SQ ever with neutral drain as they used a nice HD electric drain pump so it rinse better and won't redeposit lint like thier regular perforated tub models can. More pictures to come I haven't had a chance to play with the Philcos yet but they are complete and look promising. The 1970 KM pair is in excellent shape and should be a piece of cake too put in good working shape.

Hi Jon ! What a grand, lucky day, huh? Thanks for the showin

Would love to see the inside of the Philco Toploader.

WOW!

What a great collection and the refrigerators are killer!! Would like to see more photos of them up close and inside!!

Don't know what it is about refigerators but they just amaze me. Those fantastic exterior designs and then you open the door and BAM......you're hit with all the bling.

That Hotpoint fridge looks to be from the late 50's, very similar to the built-in version my aunt and uncle had in their home up until the mid 80's.

Amazing!

You guys got a work out this past weekend!
Fantastic finds!
I just love the Hotpoint Fridge! Does it have two doors for the Fridge section? It is a looker!

Fridges

At some point in the next few months I will post some pics of the Fridge collection - including the new ones that John posted in this thread. I am finishing up building some additional space for the collection... so once I can get everyone all cleaned up/facing front and presentable I will share the joy.

I agree about the old fridges - as if the design on the outside is not cool enough... then you get to open them up and get assulted with bling and trim and crazy gadgets.
