Australian Hoover Washer & Dryer Brochures

The Hoover Premier 750 top loader in post #690548 (the smaller 5kg one) was the model that my grandad had when we first came to Australia in 1994. I'd never seen a top loader and mesmerised by it lol. He used it weirdly though as he was such a water nazi. He used to start it on Spray Rinse with...

Australian Hoover Washer & Dryer Brochures

Fantastic thread John! I have longed to see the advertising brochure for the Electra and Zodiac range for a long time. My favourite machines are the Electras, a faster spin and detergent dispenser. Also the styling was a lot nicer with more attractive colours. I still like the Zodiacs however...

    Pacific gorenje ps 435 HELPPP!!!!!!!

Pretty straight forward really. Detergent goes in the drawer on the right hand side. The dial on the left is the programmer. Read the guide on the front of the machine and it will tell you what number does what wash and at what temperature. for example: 4. Non Fast Coloureds 40* That...

Hey Guys, Wandering around my local Coles, I did a double take in the detergent aisle when I noticed that there was Tide Original and April Fresh Downy on our supermarket shelves! I couldn't quite understand why it was there, I never thought there would be a need for Australian supermarkets...

    Persil or Ariel for Whites?

At the moment I am using Persil Colour for colours and Ariel for whites n lights. I buy it from a local british import shop. I bought a big 90 wash box of persil colour as most of my loads of laundry are coloured. I wash a white load perhaps once every 3 weeks and that is made up of my kitchen...

Look at what I found at Costco today

Wow those are really cool! I have seen those commercial maytags with a timer dial around. They had one at a farm we stayed at recently. I have also used one of those front loader maytags in a laundromat in a caravan park in orlando florida when i visited. To be honest they didn't seem to wash...

Australian Hoovermatic Delux 'Washdog' on Oz Ebay

You don't see many from this generation of Australian Hoovermatics around much. Its always made me wonder why in the UK they made put a a fill port into the machine that filled the wash side and auto rinsed the spin side, yet in Australia they just punched a slotted hole into the spinner lid...

    Hitachi big drum washer

The machine does have a hot wash option. Basically it blows heated air onto the recirculating stream of water, somehow heating it. This is what i got from the manual anyway :-) That manual sure is hefty!

    My Hoovermatic.

Hey Hey When I got my Hoovermatic it had a lagging wash action too, it used to get clogged up so easy. All i did was buy a replacement wash belt of Ebay and put that on, now the washer side is good as new, turns over nice and fast. You will soon figure out the loading of it. 4-5 t-shirts...

    Washing machine picture thread

The Simpson I had to borrow from the friend that I gave the Frigidaire to. I actually really liked this machine :-) I had repainted the laundry alcove by this point to my 'neutral brown' tone. I had also just ordered some Gain and Downy off Amazon, my two favourite american detergents. The...

    Washing machine picture thread

When we got to the Granny Flat, there was this Hoover Commodore in the laundry, worked ok but had a lid switch issue which I couldn't fix. We were paying off the Electrolux at that point and this was just a stand in anyway, died quicker than expected though so had a borrow a Simpson top loader...
