The laundromat down the street from me just replaced their washers with some new Maytag commercial washers and the agitator in those new Maytags are the ones you see in the Roper. It was the oddest thing hearing a Maytag go CHUNKA CHUNKA CHUNKA CHUNKA CHUNKA.

I can attest to the noise. Even the buzzer on that dryer is loud; it stays on continuously for several minutes until someone runs down to the basement and shuts it off. You can hear it two floors above.

LZ date code I believe the LZ date code would mean that this dryer was made in June of 1976. Inside and even the ID tag on this dryer look identical to my '75 GE dryer.

Before we saw the softer side of Sears there was my all-time favorite store slogan: "There's more more for your life... at Sears!" They weren't hokey at all :-)

About my washer My washer does have an agitator. It has 3.5 cu. ft and the stainless tub.

That is what I use in my GE Hydrowave, and I don't have any problems with it, even in cold water.

Not a WCI machine here I think that dryer would match this washer
