1965 You guys nailed it!!! If you buy it do all the above suggestions. Pull out the blower assembly. Between the mounting plates you will find an oil wick on the bearing. Pop the clip and saturate it with non detergent turbine oil. It will keep it free for a long while.

One last thought If you ever run into a Sears disnwasher that has a hand written model and serial # it means that the tub was replaced by service probably because of rust.

Rust If you can clean the rust down to metal and then apply white epoxy it should be ok. Sears had a massive recall on these tubs and I can tell you they replaced thousands of them in warranty and under service agreement. I know because I changed many myself. Good luck!

kemore Dishwasher This is a top of the line 1974 Kenmore. It sounds like it was permanently installed at some point. Make sure that the tub is not rusted out around the chrome ring around the sump inside. They were very prone to rust thru.Otherwise this is a nice machine. Good luck!

It will come out I serviced these washers for years and yes every once and a while one would not come out. As a last resort I would drill the cast metal block with multiple holes and chisel the block out in pieces. It requires a little patience but you can get it this way. The block is expendable.
