Lady Kenmore Washing Machine of the 60-70ies

"Delicate/Knitted Fabrics" and "Washable Woolens For "piano keyboard" Kenmores with three speeds, the two above cycle buttons had slow agitation for the former (upper row) and extra slow agitation for the latter (lower row), both with alternating agitation and soaking. For those with only two...

Maytag is Smarter Than I Thought

Maytag Delicate Cycle's Short Wash & Soak That's what it does on the coin-op Maytag top-loader at my apartment complex. On a side note, the spray rinse during the first spin is a full minute on Permanent Press (as the cool-down), and a half minute on all other cycles.

Maytag is Smarter Than I Thought

Since that's a one-speed washer with a Delicate cycle selection, how does that work compared to a two-speed model?

Enzyme Soak For the historic record, "Enzyme Soak" was renamed "Pre-Soak" in 1971. For washers with Pre-Soak and Pre-Wash, the agitation speed for the latter cycle was low, but for those with Pre-Wash and without Pre-Soak, they used high agitation. Did black console washers (1976-c.1997) use...

Kenmore Lady and TOL Washer Models?

According to the underlid cycle charts on the "piano keyboard" Lady K's, the delicate cycle button on the upper row had regular slow agitation, while the one on the lower row had extra slow agitation, both with brief soak periods. This continued until this model was discontinued c.1975. Over the...

Fabric Cycle Panel A childhood friend of mine had this particular model. His mother usually washed in "Delicate Fabrics" or "Washable Woolens" (last two on the panel). I'd like to see close-ups of the multi-colored fabric panel, dial, and lid instructions and cycle chart.
