My last belt drive WP looked similar to this one, but it had push buttons for the water temp control. It was a great machine, wish I still had it.

The attachments came Wednesday. They looked better in person than in the picture. The hose didn't fit, but I'm going to hold on to it in case I get a Royal upright.

I had an Olympia just like that, but it had some jammed and broken keys, and the local repairman wouldn't touch it :-(

The attachments and wands will work, but I was informed the hose wont. No big deal, I wanted the wands and attachments more than the hose.

The key tops pop off just like they do on the Model M keyboards; took them all off and soaked them in hot water, dish soap, and a little bleach. I cleaned the case with 409. It had a metal sticker that said it was originally property of ND Department of Corrections.

Purring Like a Wheelwriter I took the outer cover off, placed a few drops of oil on the back of the carrier mother, and she's working perfectly!

I'm a member of all three Selectric groups, and moderator of two. I been told to oil the rails that the carrier runs on, but that hasn't helped any.

The Wheelwriter arrived today, and it cleaned up quit nicely. However, it has a slight problem returning to the left margin. It makes a loud screeching noise and won't return to the left margin without stopping, and it make the same noise when tab is pressed. I think it might need oiled...

My second family had something similar to this but it was white and was gas. I thought it was the coolest stove I have ever seen. I was upset when they got rid of it.

Saw a commercial a little while ago that said if you place a dry towel in with your wet clothes it will cut your drying time in half. Does it confuse the sensors by making it seem like the clothes are drier than they really are?

I have an Olympia SM9 manual, and I have tried and tried to use it but I'm so used to electrics, electronics, and computers that don't have strength in my fingers to type. A really good friend gave it me, and I don't think I could part with it.
