    1954 Frigidaire Test Run

Make sure the top of your pump is dry and no water is leaking from where the motor shaft goes into the pump before you start all this. If in fact it is only leaking from the bottom cover gasket then don't remove or disturb the impeller. If you don't have to disturb the impeller you wont have...

    1954 Frigidaire Test Run

Justin, I replaced the gasket on my Unimatic and it really was quite easy. Get some cork gasket material from an Auto Parts store then after you remove the bottom crossbrace and snubber spring you loosen and remove the pump cover. Have a pan under it to catch the water as you remove the...

The BIG weekend haul / score / new arrivals

Candyland! Kevin, Oh it was Candyland when I was there for the wash-in so I guess now it's like a never ending sugar high! LOL I can only imagine there is barely room to squeeze through to see all the stuff. Even so, you do keep finding some wonderful machines. You are definitely the KING of...

Kitchenaid KUDA22ST3 Lower Washarm Spray Support

I know the complete replacement part # is 4163370. I don't think you can glue this part back in place from similar previous issues. These parts are sadly no longer available but you may be able to search the web, ebay, or local parts stores for leftover inventory. Good luck, Patrick

frigidaire 1-18 Bottom of the line washer

My first Frigidaire's I looked a long time for these pictures and finally found them. Unfortunately back in the early 1980's when I took the photos the camera quality wasn't that great and I wasn't thinking in terms of details. This is a WCDA3T washer. It was designated as a "16" on the...

frigidaire 1-18 Bottom of the line washer

Here is a similar machine I had but is badged 1-18. Sorry I couldn't tell you the model number though. I gave the machine to Kelly so maybe he can look at the model tag and post a clearer picture of the control panel. Patrick

Wooow- Another Saturday Wash Cam Insanity

Jon - Great video as usual. You have an amazing collection! The Bendix Duomatic looks fabulous - love the indicator lights. That Easy Spiralator is amazing too. Any signs of chipping yet? I'm assuming it's painted aluminum like the Spindriers. Correct me if I'm wrong. I see you're...

The New HE Toploader Is Now On Frigidaire's Website

I saw a new Frigidaire commercial tonight on TV. It was for their new Symmetry double oven range but the commercial itself was done very well. They did a kind of a history showing old products from the GM era, even a skinny-mini Laundry Center. Then they did a flash of a lot of the old...

    A long-awaited washer test

Great machine Paul! I've always wanted to see one of these in person and "depress" the selector buttons. I'm sure the seals in the water valve have just dried out from non-use. Hopefully you can find replacements. Enjoy! Patrick

    1955 GE Combo Rescued!

It's beautiful Jon! Don't you love it when you find something as preserved as this is. I wonder if when the belt snapped this is why they stopped using it? Could have been the start of the "it's broken, let's get a new one" mentality. How lucky for you. All the best! - Patrick
